Not every superhero story ends with a perfect and happy little bow. Some movies take these famous characters down a much darker path than you would ever expect. They trade simple fights for complex ideas that really challenge the viewers. The action feels heavy and important. These ten special superhero movies were completely tailored for a fully adult audience.
‘Defendor’
Woody Harrelson plays a regular man who puts on a homemade costume to fight a bad guy who might not even exist. The movie looks at deep mental health struggles and trauma which makes it a very touching story for grown ups.
