HBO CEO Casey Bloys announced on HBO Max that the show has been given a green light for season 3. Talking to the media in Los Angeles on January 7, 2026, a day before season 2 hit the screens, he confirmed that the 3rd season will be coming soon.

Casey quoted, ” We debuted season 1 on January 9, 2025, and season 2 on January 8, 2026. We are home in January. With such a claim, he announced that the production for season 3 will start in June 2026 and plans to release it in January 2207.
Robby Hit Rock Bottom

After exhibiting alarming suicidal symptoms in the season 2 finale, Robby reportedly made a dramatic departure on his motorcycle, leaving Pittsburgh. According to Gemmill, he is expected to return in Episode 1, although how his prolonged absence from the hospital will affect his health and implications on his character is still to be seen.
Cold Winter Ahead

To create a more challenging and realistic backdrop, showrunner R.Scott decided to shift season 3 to November from the previously planned July 4 release, TV Line reported. This was done primarily to incorporate elements of cold weather into the storyline.
