The rush in Chennai was on a whole different level when portals finally opened. PTI reported that Kamala Cinemas sold over 10,000 tickets within minutes which makes you wonder if people even read the checkout screen. Mayajaal Multiplex also sold out 48 entire shows in less than an hour.
Government Sets Cap on Prices
With demand this high you would normally expect ticket prices to skyrocket into space. But the state government actually capped the ticket prices at ₹190 in Chennai so fans don’t get overcharged. This is great news for everyone who just wants to enjoy the movie on a budget.
