The upcoming Marvel movie is bringing back fan favorites and classic heroes to the big screen. However many fans feel frustrated because the new trailer teases the X-Men without giving them their own standalone film. Here is why the current strategy is leaving some viewers disappointed and wanting more from the studio.
Superhero Fatigue Is Totally Real Right Now

People have been talking about superhero fatigue for a really long time and it makes total sense because Marvel puts out so many big movies. We all want something fresh and original but the Russo Brothers usually know how to make a good movie so maybe this one will work out.
Doctor Doom Is a Huge Surprise

Bringing Robert Downey Jr back to play Doctor Doom feels like a massive wild card move that they just threw out there hoping it works. It is definitely exciting to see him again even if it feels a little bit crazy. Everyone is talking about it so the plan is definitely working so far.
A Massive Team of Heroes

This new movie is basically grabbing everyone from the Black Panther team to the Fantastic Four and throwing them all into one giant story. We even get to see Shang Chi back in action which is pretty cool because fans have been waiting forever to see him fight again. It is going to be a totally packed house for sure.
The X-Men Show Up in the Trailer

The new trailer comes out swinging with some heavy nostalgia and shows off classic X-Men characters like Professor X and Magneto. We even see Mystique and Cyclops popping up to say hello and Channing Tatum is there as Gambit too. Seeing them is fun but it also kind of stings a little bit.
Fans Just Want a Real Mutant Movie

The main problem here is that seeing all these mutants just reminds everyone that we still do not have a dedicated X-Men movie in this universe. Marvel keeps giving us these tiny little crumbs and teases but they never actually serve the full meal. People are getting really tired of waiting for the real thing to happen.
Familiar Faces Are Fun but Played Out

It is obviously really nice to see Thor being a serious leader again instead of just making jokes all the time. Seeing Steve Rogers and Yelena Belova is great too but we have seen these storylines play out so many times already. We really need some fresh faces to take the lead right now.
We Are Stuck Waiting Around Forever

The last time we got a full team of mutants was back when Fox was making the movies and that feels like a hundred years ago. Recent movies keep hinting at them but they just will not pull the trigger on a real team up film. It feels like they are just dangling a carrot in front of us at this point.
The Animated Show Proves the Hype

If you look at how crazy successful the animated show was recently you can easily tell that people are desperate for these characters. The fans are practically begging for a live action version of that exact same energy. Marvel really needs to figure out how to give the people what they want.
It Feels Like a Big Distraction

All these cool cameos in Doomsday feel a little bit like a magic trick to distract us from the missing mutant movie. It is super cool to pay homage to the old franchise but eventually you have to build something totally new. Hopefully this is the last time they tease us without actually delivering the goods.
Hoping for the Best Anyway

Even with all this frustration floating around the movie is probably going to make a billion dollars and we will all go see it on opening weekend. The Russo Brothers usually deliver some crazy action scenes so it should be a fun time at the theater. Let us just cross our fingers that the mutants finally get their own spotlight next time around.
